“A Preservation of Lived Experience.
The journey of learning to love the self, to push through trauma, and to participate in wider processes of healing and reconciliation reveals a broader call for us to face the past, make amends, and reimagine a future from a foundation of care and belonging.

As storytellers, we have a responsibility to represent the world with honesty, integrity, and sensitivity. Mi Todo is a space to explore the self in safety, invite sorrow and collective grief as a catalyst for change, and to participate in wider processes of healing and reconciliation. As we move forward, it is essential to prioritize accessibility, inclusivity, and ethical representation, ensuring that this powerful medium continues to serve as a catalyst for social change. Sanctuary spaces for art, like Mi Todo, become a platform for marginalized voices, and as artist, we must engage with subjects in more equitable ways, allowing people to co-create their stories, control their own narratives, and challenge the ways in which they have been represented.

Through presenting narratives that challenge conventional notions of self and identity, artists can create a space for contemplation and reflection. Within the power to depict the natural world in all of its harshness, we invite our community to contemplate their space within the larger tapestry of existence.
